Tetracom Help — OnePlus
OxygenOS / ColorOS battery optimizationOnePlus phones run OxygenOS (older models) or a OxygenOS skin on top of ColorOS (newer models since the OPPO/OnePlus merger). Both apply moderate battery optimization on top of stock Android, similar to but less aggressive than Samsung.
Setup steps
Step 1 — turn on Tetracom’s “Stay connected” toggle
- Open Tetracom → gear icon (top right).
- Scroll to Connection.
- Turn ON Stay connected when phone is locked.
Step 2 — battery: Don’t optimize
- Settings → Apps → App management → Tetracom → Battery usage
- Choose Unrestricted (or “Don’t optimize”).
- Turn ON Allow background activity.
Step 3 — Battery optimization (whitelist)
- Settings → Battery → Battery optimization
- Tap the dropdown at top, switch from “Optimized” to All apps.
- Find Tetracom → tap → Don’t optimize.
Step 4 — App auto-launch (newer ColorOS-based models)
If your OnePlus has “App auto-launch” — newer OxygenOS-on-ColorOS — this needs to be enabled too.
- Settings → Apps → App auto-launch
- Find Tetracom → turn ON.
Step 5 — Recent tasks: lock Tetracom (older OxygenOS only)
On older OxygenOS, swiping the recent-apps view kills locked apps unless you specifically lock them. This is mostly resolved on OxygenOS 13+ but worth checking.
- Open the recent-apps view (gesture or button).
- Find Tetracom; tap-and-hold its preview.
- Pick Lock (the padlock icon).
Common OnePlus questions
- Zen Mode kills Tetracom — how do I exempt it?
- Zen Mode is intentionally aggressive (it’s a focus tool). You cannot exempt individual apps from Zen Mode in OxygenOS — blurts during Zen will arrive when you exit Zen. This is probably the desired behavior; if not, don’t use Zen Mode for periods when you need Tetracom.
- I have a Nord — does this guide apply?
- Yes. All current OnePlus models (Nord, Nord N-series, OnePlus 11/12/13) run the same OxygenOS variant; the menu paths above work on all of them.
