S24-specific quirks
- Galaxy AI features (Live Translate, Note Assist) — any conflict?
- No. Tetracom doesn’t use the on-device AI co-processor. Galaxy AI runs alongside Tetracom without competing for resources.
- The S24’s “Adaptive Refresh Rate” drops the screen to 1 Hz on the lock screen — does that affect Tetracom?
- No. The screen-refresh-rate machinery is independent of the foreground-service scheduler. Tetracom keeps connected even with the always-on display in 1 Hz mode.
- S24 Ultra S Pen — can I use it for PTT?
- Not yet. S Pen button events go through Samsung’s SDK which Tetracom doesn’t integrate with. PTT remains finger-on-screen for now.
Battery cost on the S24
Measured: ~1.5% per day with default settings (15-second WS keepalive, occasional blurts, screen idle). Heavy use (50+ blurts/day, location sharing on, frequent identity switches) can push this to ~3% per day. Negligible compared to the S24’s 4000 / 4900 / 5000 mAh batteries.
